May 12 is Mother’s Day and what better way to celebrate the moms in your life than a peaceful drive along the Historic Hills Scenic Byway! Enjoy the Spring Shop About for Mother’s Day weekend. Shops and restaurants will be open Friday and Saturday, May 10-11, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event gives visitors and locals a chance to support small businesses, find unique locations and celebrate spring along the byway!  There will be demonstrations, special treats, sales, and drawings during the event. Get to know local artists, makers, and businesses as you visit shops and restaurants.

The Historic Hills Scenic Byway is a 105-mile route full of beauty and idyllic small towns in Southeastern Iowa. From Blakesburg to Donnellson and Keosauqua to Eldon visitors will find rolling hills, forests, and farmlands which make this scenic drive perfect for a weekend getaway.
