Sioux City Farmers Market Celebrates Opening Day

(SBA) - At 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th we will be ringing our large triangle dinner bell to start the much-anticipated Sioux City Farmers Market. We will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In partnership with the Tyson Events Center, the Market will again be located at the corner of Pearl Street and Tri View Avenue on the Tyson Center parking lot.

Visitors can expect locally grown produce, including fresh greens, radishes, kohlrabi, kale, swiss chard, turnips, and baby bok choy. Vendors will offer an assortment of seasonal produce, handmade goods, and delicious foods.

As part of the festivities, the Sioux City Chamber of Commerce will be joining the market for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. to celebrate their opening day and the addition of new Market manager, Melissa Gritzmaker.

Attendees can also look forward to live music, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to connect with local artisans and food vendors.

The Sioux City Farmers Market will take place every Saturday and Wednesday from May 4th through October 26th.
