(SBA) - Salix Fire & Rescue will host a Station 2 open house and fish and chislic fry Saturday, Nov. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. The meal will be offered for a freewill donation.
The new station is nearing completion, according to the department’s announcement. Community members are invited to see the facility and check out the department’s new truck, Ladder 63.
The department said positive feedback following its April fundraiser helped encourage another gathering. Attendees had expressed appreciation for the return of the fundraiser, and the November event will combine a meal with an opportunity to see the new station and equipment.
