Here's a few tips to make your picnic even better:
1. Where do you want to go? Scope out the options on the DNR shelter page. Shelters vary in sizes and locations with outdoor amenities nearby, such as bathrooms, trails and more.
2. Grill or picnic? You decide! Many shelters have a nearby grill to cook on-site. Or pack a basket with simple servings for your group.

3. How many in your party? It's possible you may need a special event permit if you have a bigger group. If you have concerns, call the park office and they will answer any questions.
4. Ready to play? Many shelters are in open areas near playgrounds, volleyball pits, horseshoe pits, etc. Bring your frisbee, balls and other equipment to play.

5. Got trash? Please help keep the park tidy by throwing away litter and carrying out trash when you leave.
6. Have questions? Our staff are here to help you. Simply call the park office prior to your visit.
