(SBA) - Terrance “Terry” Small, 73, of Salix, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.

A funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Salix, Iowa, with Reverend Father Shinoj Jose, celebrant, officiating. A live stream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home Website with Terry’s obituary. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Salix, Iowa. Food and fellowship will be held at the Gun Club following the committal service. Open public visitation with no family present will be 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Monday, September 9, 2024 at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.

Terrance Michael was born January 16, 1951 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Milton “Mitt” and Elaine (Linscott) Small. He graduated from Westwood Highschool with the class of 1970.

Terry Small and Nancy Miltenberger were united in marriage February 2, 1973 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Salix, Iowa. To this union two children were born, Clint and Chad.

Terry was a lifelong farmer and an owner of Lakeport Builders.
 
He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, and trap shooting. Terry loved to spend time with his friends and family, especially his grandkids. Later in life, he enjoyed meeting his biological family.

Terry was a member of the Sandhill Drainage Ditch Trustee, Lakeport Township Trustee, Woodbury County FSA County Committee, and the Westwood Community School Board Member, and was instrumental in the passing of a bond issue for the new school. Terry was instrumental with his neighbors and friends starting the Lakeport Gun Club. He was also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Salix, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Small of Salix, Iowa; two sons, Clint (Stephanie) Small of Sloan, Iowa, and Chad (Amanda) Small of Sloan, Iowa; grandchildren, Dawson, Dylan, and Drew Small; and other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton “Mitt” and Elaine (Linscott) Small.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Terry’s memory may be made to Westwood Community School, 1000 Rebel Way, Sloan, Iowa, 51055.
