MEETING MINUTES

1. Call to Order
The Special September 03, 2026 meeting of the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Board of Education was called to order by President Jeff Wright at 7:36 a.m.    The meeting was held  in the Curriculum Office at the  Sergeant Bluff Elementary School.
2. Approval of the Agenda
Motion to approve agenda.

Voting results: Unanimously Approved
3. 3. 1. Closed Session authorized by Iowa Code Section 21.5(1)(a) & 21.5(1)(e) to review or discussrecords which are required or authorized by state or federal law to be kept confidential and to conduct a hearing to determine whether to suspend or expel a student.

This is in reference to an expulsion agreement from last year.  A request has been made per the agreement.

4. Consideration and Action on Student’s Application for Readmission
Move to reject the application for readmission  of a student who was previously expelled by the Board per an expulsion consent agreement. The administration is directed to prepare
correspondence to the student and family outlining the basis and rationale for the Board’s decision and terms and conditions for possible future readmission.
