PUBLIC NOTICE OF STORM WATER DISCHARGE
The Iowa Department of Transportation plans to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to be covered under National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit No. 2 "Storm Water Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity for Construction Activities."
The storm water discharge will be from construction activity located in Woodbury County on Interstate 29. The project is grading, paving and bridge construction at new 235th St. (Southbridge) interchange, including Sergeant Bluff rest area grading.
The Public Lands Survey location is Township 87N, Range 47W, Sections 6 to 17.
Storm water will be discharged to the following receiving streams: road ditches to Brower’s Lake and drainage ditches to Missouri River.
