Online Program ‘CropsTV’ Launches Sixth Season

Plan for 2026 with crop production updates available anywhere with an internet connection

AMES, Iowa – CropsTV, powered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, is returning for its sixth season in 2026. The online program aims to deliver timely and relevant crop production information directly to farmers and agricultural service providers.

CropsTV offers the flexibility of on-demand viewing, allowing subscribers to watch episodes at home, in the office or anywhere with an internet connection. Last year’s subscribers appreciated the relevant topics, ease of use and flexibility to watch on their own schedule. Nearly 70% of Season 5 viewers reported that the information learned was valued at a minimum of $5 per acre.

Season 6, which launched on Jan. 6 for viewing, features over 35 episodes covering a variety of topics, including crop and pest management, nutrient management and soil and water management.

While some topics will be familiar from other programs, many are exclusive to CropsTV. These include episodes on corn stunt, a recent corn disease to monitor, spray drone technology, red crown rot in soybeans and biological products for use in crop production.

“CropsTV has been a popular online learning opportunity for farmers and agricultural service providers since it launched in 2020,” said Leah Ten Napel, field agronomist with ISU Extension and Outreach. “This season will be full of exclusive episodes only available via CropsTV, all with the same flexibility in selecting interesting topics to watch on a flexible schedule.”

The first six episodes are now available to watch, with additional episodes being provided weekly from January to mid-February. Registration for CropsTV is $125 and includes access to over 35 pre-recorded episodes, 29.5 Certified Crop Advisor credits and access to program and reference materials.

Subscribers will also have access to all materials through April 15, 2026. For more information, visit CropsTV–Season 6. For any CropsTV-related inquiries, please contact cropstv@iastate.edu.
