Sealed bids will be received by the Woodbury Soil and Water Conservation District, located at 204 1st St, Ste 225, Sergeant Bluff, IA 51054, until 8:30 a.m. local time, on the 24th day of March 2026 and opened at a public meeting and read aloud on the time and on the date last mentioned.
In general, the work involves but is not limited to the approximate quantities of work for this project.

A pre-bid conference will be held on March 11,2026 at 1:00PM, We will meet at the Woodbury SWCD office and then take contractors to the sites. Any questions concerning the conference please contact Telephone: (712) 943-2727.  Attendance at the pre-bid conference by prospective bidders is not mandatory but is encouraged. 
Each proposal shall be made on documents furnished by the District and must be accompanied by a bid bond made payable to the District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid. Bidders are required to be registered with the Iowa Division of Labor. 
Payment to the Contractor for this project shall be made pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 573.  Payment of the retained percentage (not to exceed 5%) shall be withheld for a period of up to thirty (30) days following project completion and final acceptance by the District.
The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.  
The Plans and Construction Specifications governing the construction of the proposed project have been prepared by Natural Resource Conservation Services and are hereby made a part of this notice by reference and the proposed contract shall be executed in compliance therewith.  Contract Documents (including Plans, Construction Specifications, and Bid Package) may be examined at the following locations:

Copies of the Bid Documents, including Plans and Construction Specifications can be obtained by interested bidders upon receipt of a verbal or written request to the District, at the address or telephone number aforementioned.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities and irregularities.
