NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION OF A VARIANCE BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT IN SERGEANT BLUFF, IOWA
You are hereby notified that the Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m., on January 2, 2025 in the Sergeant Bluff Council Chambers located at 501 4th Street to hear public comments on a variance request for 815 Clairmont Circle (Parcel# 884732126014, MEADOW BROOK 2ND ADDN LOT 16).
The applicant is Jerry Shaffer. The request is for a variance from Zoning Code 165B.12 (7) “Height and Lot Requirements” for a lot zoned RS80 which requires accessory buildings to be no higher than 15 feet tall and the street side yard setback to be no fewer than 15 feet.
The applicant is requesting to retain their existing accessory structure which is 15’ 10” and encroaches into the 15-foot lot setback requirement.
All interested persons are urged to comment by agent or attorney, or in writing. If needed questions or comments for the public hearing can be taken by phone at 712-943-4244 during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
An application can be reviewed upon request at City Hall which is located at 501 4th Street.
