Sergeant Bluff Fire and rescue always steps up when needed. With a shortage of help in the EMS community both nationally and locally, Sergeant Bluff is fortunate to have a second ambulance that can assist in extreme times of need, even beyond our primary response area. Late Saturday night, the department collaborated with UnityPoint Health - Sioux City and Avera Health to ensure a patient reached their ultimate destination to receive the necessary care.
