(SBA) SERGEANT BLUFF, Iowa - The city of Sergeant Bluff has named Jereme Muller as its new police chief. Muller, currently a Sergeant Bluff Police Officer and a reserve deputy for the Woodbury County Sheriff’s Office, has been approved by the city council and will assume his new role on March 1, 2025.
Muller will succeed the current police chief, Scott Pack, who plans to retire this summer. Chief Pack, who became interim chief at the end of 2013 and officially took on the role in January 2014, will begin his retirement on August 31, 2025. Despite retiring from the police force, Pack intends to remain active in the community.
The Sergeant Bluff Police Department expressed their gratitude on Facebook, stating, “A heartfelt thank you to Chief Pack for your many years of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the City of Sergeant Bluff. Your leadership has made a lasting impact on our community, and we are deeply grateful for everything you’ve done. Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!”
