(SB) – Ask the nation’s big-time media – daily newspapers, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and all the lib talking heads and night time shows of Meyer, Oliver, Colbert, Fallon and Kimmel if they learned anything from Nov. 5, 2024. Expect a blank stare. Donald Trump – the guy they lambasted, belittled, sued, tried to impeach twice, investigated, raided his home at Mar-A-Lago, took to court on fake charges -- won the election and is on his way back into the White House as of Jan. 20, 2025.
They media hasn’t figured out that their lying days are over. They’re through. Done. Finished. Their one-sidedness didn’t work. It’s why they not only lost millions of viewers, but also why their revenue is spiraling. Honestly, they just don’t get it; they don’t have a clue. They’re washed up and being hung out to dry in 20-below zero weather.
Over the last 16 years, they nurtured, fostered, nursed, and ultimately made no secret they were an arm of the D.C. Democrats (a.k.a.) the swamp dwellers.
It even happened here in the Hawkeye State. Iowa’s state media, The Des Moines Register via the Iowa Poll, came out Nov. 1, 2024, four days before the election, with a stunning proclamation. Their poll results said, and the DM-Register splashed out the headline: “Kamala Harris leapfrogs Donald Trump to take lead near Election Day.”
Remember that one?
Yessiree. The poll of 808 likely Iowa voters was conducted by Selzer & Company, Oct. 28-31, 2024. The person who conducted the poll was J. Ann Selzer, seen on Iowa Press. Did she know what she was doing? Did the DM Register bother to check her poll for accuracy? I have no idea.
When asked about her poll, here’s what Selzer said:
“I’m not here to break any news. If you were hoping that I had landed on exactly why things went wrong, I have not. It does sort of awaken me in the middle of the night and I think, well maybe I should check this, this is something that would be very odd if it were to happen. But we’ve explored everything. The Des Moines Register in an unprecedented move for transparency has put online our cross tabs, our waiting system and my analysis and that I’ve not needed to update because it was pretty complete. We don’t know. Do I wish I knew? Yes, I wish I knew,” Selzer said during a discussion at the Iowa Press.” (iHeart Radio, Dec. 19, 2024).
Someone, somewhere, said she is retiring, or is now retired… so she can now pursue “other ventures and opportunities.”
As for the DM Register, I said years ago that they don’t like Iowa. To them, Iowans are dumb, stupid, lacking in education, and a cultural catastrophe. They would be at home in Detroit, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, or any of the major blue cities.
More recently, George Stephanopoulos and the outfit he works for (ABC) were ordered to pay President Donald $16-million for libel. Georgie called Trump a rapist during one of his nasty TV interviews. The money award is to be forwarded to Trump’s future Presidential Library. While he’s doing that, Georgie and ABC both must also publicly and formally apologize to their now 47th U.S. President.
Have they learned anything? Not yet. Right now you can figure ABC is in one of their many backrooms scheming how they can get even.
CNN settled a multimillion-dollar defamation suit filed by Covington Catholic High School student Nick Sandmann over the network’s depiction of his 2019 encounter with Native American activists.
The network was one of three news outlets named by the 16-year-old Kentucky student in a lawsuit seeking a combined $800 million in damages over what Sandmann claimed was an unfair — and damaging — depiction of his encounter in Washington, DC, in January 2019.
The money settlement was not divulged, but you can be assured the amount was hefty.
Sandmann was part of a MAGA cap-wearing group of students at an anti-abortion rally in Washington on Jan. 18 when his confrontation with 64-year-old Native American activist and ex-Marine Nathan Phillips was picked up by CNN and other news outlets.
The teen was vilified on social media over the seemingly racially motivated footage, which showed mostly white teenage boys staring down and yelling at the demonstrators.
What the media outlets portrayed and what actually took place was exposed, and the young high school student was fully exonerated. None of what was reported by the media was either based on fact, much less truth.
You’ve all seen news reports up and down the human scale like the ones noted above. When you read or listened to those reports, you knew something was wrong and that what we were being told just didn’t add up or make sense.
Lies will do that.
The national media did itself in, and by doing so pretty well demolished what was an American institution – the press, TV news media, and radio news. By taking a side, rather than reporting facts, the media made known that it was a political entity serving a political party. That party was the Democrat party. It was a terrible, inexcusable, unsettling direction. Their choice not to be factually based and instead enter the sorry road they chose, pretty well destroyed what was once a proud American legacy.
The national media is dead. Nothing they do now will ever undo the overwhelming damage they inflicted upon the public. Their mortal wound was self-inflicted. They committed suicide. It was their choice. They opened the doors to social media. In the months ahead, you will witness their disappearance from the American scene. They brought in on themselves.
