NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ENGINEERS ESTIMATED TOTAL COST OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT FOR PROPOSED REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS
Notice is hereby given that the Salix Drainage District, Woodbury County, Iowa, whose meeting location is in the Salix Council Chambers, 317 Tipton St., Salix, IA, will meet on the 10th day of June, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at which time and place a hearing will be held on the proposed and tentatively approved drawings and specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the proposed improvements and repairs. 
A copy of these tentatively approved documents may be obtained from District Engineer Chad Kehrt by contacting his office as follows:  Veenstra & Kimm, Inc., 203 Sergeant Square Drive, Suite B, Sergeant Bluff, IA 51054; (712) 943-5055.  They are also available on the City of Salix’s website at:  https://salixiowa.com/salix-drainage-district 
This hearing will concern the proposed maintenance and cleaning of the Main Ditch. Specifically, tree removal, grading, and removal of debris from the drainage ditch in the following locations:
• Lakeport Street from Maple Street to 280th Street
• 280th Street from Lakeport Street to S. Tama Street (Kings Trail)
• S. Tama Street (Kings Trail) from 280th Street to Walnut Street
Previous public hearings were held on July 31, 2025, and on April 16, 2026. 
At the hearing, the Salix Drainage District Trustees will receive and consider any objections made by any interested person to the drawings and specifications, proposed form of contract and the estimate of cost for the work.
This notice is published and mailed as provided by law at the direction of the Salix Drainage District Trustees, acting on behalf of the Salix Drainage District.
